Primary bathroom remodel with book-matched marble walls, freestanding soaking tub and dual vanity, Oakland County Michigan

Residential renovation

The room where finish quality is impossible to hide.

Primary suites, wet rooms, curbless and accessible showers, book-matched slab walls, heated floors and custom glass for homes across Oakland and Macomb County — built by the people who set the layout, not handed to whoever was available.

A small room made almost entirely of finish.

There's no drywall to forgive a mistake and no furniture to sit in front of a bad transition. Every cut, seam and material change is at eye level and lit. It's the hardest room in a house to execute properly — which is exactly why it tells you who you hired.

It's also the work we're known for. Layouts are set before the first sheet of tile is opened: where the pattern centers, where the cuts land, how the wall line meets the floor, where a slab seam falls and whether the veining carries across it. Waterproofing is continuous and inspected before it disappears. None of that shows in the finished room, and all of it is why the finished room looks right.

What we build

  • Primary bathroom suites — full gut renovation, layout changes, double vanities, dedicated water closets
  • Wet rooms — combined shower and tub enclosures with continuous waterproofing and shared drainage
  • Curbless & accessible showers — slope built into the substrate, linear drains, benches, grab bars, clearances
  • Book-matched slab walls — porcelain and natural stone, veining carried across seams
  • Heated floors — electric mat or hydronic, planned with the floor buildup
  • Custom glass — frameless enclosures, fixed panels, templated to the finished opening
  • Vanities & millwork — custom cabinetry, stone tops, integrated and backlit mirrors
  • Guest and powder rooms — small rooms treated with the same layout discipline

Where the money actually goes

Clients are often surprised that two bathrooms with identical fixture lists can differ substantially in price. The difference is almost never the faucet. It's whether the shower is curbed or curbless, whether the slab is book-matched, whether the walls are being straightened before tile, whether the glass is stock or templated, and whether the layout requires moving drain lines. We price those decisions as separate line items so you can see exactly what each one costs and choose deliberately.

How a job runs

From walkthrough to keys.

The same five steps on every project.

1

Walk the job

We meet you at the property, look at the actual conditions, and talk through what you want and what the building will allow. No sales call, no showroom.

2

Written estimate

Notes from the walkthrough become a line-item estimate, typically emailed within a day. Scope and price in writing before anyone swings a hammer.

3

Schedule & build

A project manager holds the schedule, the permits and the inspections so the site is never idle waiting on someone. A qualified foreman runs the site itself, directing our tradespeople and holding the finish to standard every day the job is open.

4

Daily communication

Progress photos if you're not on site, and an immediate call — not an invoice surprise — the moment anything comes up outside the original scope.

5

Walkthrough & close

We walk the job with you the day before completion so anything you want corrected is handled on the final day. Then the invoice, and the keys.

Bathroom remodeling questions

What makes a bathroom read as high-end rather than just new?

Three things, and none of them are the fixtures. Layout of the tile — where the cuts land, whether the pattern is centered on the room or on the drain, whether the wall and floor lines relate. Transitions — curbless entries that actually drain, thresholds that don't trip you, glass that meets stone cleanly. Slab handling — book-matched veining that continues across a seam instead of stopping at it.

All three are set before installation begins. That's the part that can't be fixed later, and it's the part we plan for at the layout stage.

Do you build curbless and accessible showers?

Yes, and they're some of our favorite work. A curbless shower is a drainage and framing problem before it is a tile problem — the slope has to be built into the substrate and the waterproofing has to be continuous. Done properly it looks like nothing at all, which is the point. We also build accessible showers with grab bars, benches and appropriate clearances that don't read as clinical.

Can you do heated floors?

Yes — electric mat or hydronic, planned with the tile layout and the flooring buildup rather than added as an afterthought. Heated floors are one of the highest-satisfaction items in a Michigan bathroom and one of the cheapest to include while the floor is already open.

How disruptive is a primary bathroom remodel?

One bathroom down to studs means one bathroom out of service, dust control at the doorway, and material staged where you agreed it would be. If it's the only full bath in the house we'll say so up front and talk through the sequencing. What we won't do is start demolition before the materials that hold up the schedule are actually on hand.

Which communities do you build bathrooms in?

Throughout Oakland and Macomb County and the Wayne County suburbs — Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Troy, Royal Oak, Rochester Hills, Franklin, Beverly Hills, West Bloomfield, Novi, Sterling Heights, Shelby Township, Macomb Township, Washington Township, St. Clair Shores, Grosse Pointe and Northville among others. Full service area.
